30 years ago you’d never expect Dan to be where he is today. Innovative, creative, and customer driven; he embodies the idea of a custom service. However, this is a fairly new lifestyle for him. Before this, he owned and operated a dairy farm in Upstate New York. Some of his hand tools that he still uses from time to time today were the very ones used to build some of the old barns where he stacked hay more than 100 years ago. He really pays attention to where he came from, and moreover, where everything comes from.

Reclaimed wood is a new trend which involves the repurposing of old wood, previously thought to be worthless, into high-end furniture and sometime even works of art. Due to the reclaimed nature, the wood is not simply material that was cut from a tree and put into the furniture. It was wood that was part of something else. Perhaps it was part of an old structure in which a family has rich history; perhaps it was an old cabinet that a grandfather built that was fixed up and polished into something more. Dan pays attention to where his material comes from, and takes it into account for whatever he may be building, and whoever he may be building for.
